Attention College Bound Students,
In October you received the necessary information to apply to college. St. Clair has paid their visit and you have hopefully attended their College Information Session and Open House. It is time to make some concrete plans and apply before the Christmas break. If you still have questions or concerns, please make an appointment with your Guidance Counsellor today. We can walk you through the process.
Would all members of the "Let Your Light Shine" slam poem, please meet in room 267 today for lunch and practice.
St. Anne is having a jingle bell run and you are invited. When - Wednesday December 18th during period three class. Who can come? Individual students from period three classes or the entire class preferably. Cost is $2 which includes a candy cane and hot chocolate. Any money left over will go to the food bank. If you so choose you can bring cans. You must wear something Christmassy!! Sign up with your period three teachers!
For those interested in the Poetry in Voice competition, there will be another Poetry in Voice meeting briefly after school today. Bring printed copies of your chosen poems to room 268 after school today. See you there!
"Congratulations" to the Jr. Boy's Basketball team over the weekend with their 3rd place finish in the Riverside Basketball Tournament with a 3-1 record. Every player on the team contributed to this successful tournament. Good job to all. We play this Tuesday back at Riverside, then face the tournament champions CCH~Thursday~ at home to finish up the pre-Christmas schedule. Come out and support boys basketball this Thursday after school.
The Junior and senior girls participated in the Amherst Tournament this weekend.
The Juniors played 4 great games to make it to the finals where they lost in three sets to a strong Holy Names team.
With 6 players away the Seniors were at a bit of a disadvantage but they stepped up and played some good games.
They played 5 games, winning 3 losing 1 and splitting another.
Way to go to all the girls who worked so hard.
Reminder to all swimmers that tomorrow is our second league meet. Don't forget to pick up your permit to leave slip tomorrow morning from Ms. Facchinato in the attendance office.
