Thank you to all who participated in the 1st Annual St. Anne's Jingle Bell Run/Walk. Your Christmas spirit has been shared with others at the Essex Food Bank. You were a part of contributing around $400 to people in need within our community. We hope to continue this event again next year! A special mention goes out to Mrs. Roy, Mrs. Dayus and Mrs. Stanski's period 3 classes for full participation. You will be given a special treat in the New Year!!!!
Our wrestling team fared well again yesterday at the Windsor Wrestling Winter Classic Tournament. Remington Stacey finished in 4th place. Eric Renaud fought hard to earn a Bronze Medal. Finally Jessica Jenkins captured the Silver Medal to end out the day!!! Congrats to all the student-athletes. Wishing you all a safe and Merry Christmas Mr. Idone!!
Senior Boys Basketball:
Tuesday your Saints lost a heartbreaker 71 to 67 to Riverside in double overtime. Improvement in crunch time decision-making and overall relentless effort is needed to end up with victoiry in these games. Anthony Zrvnar, with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Ryan Kiss, with 14 points, led the Saints. Your Senior Saints host Catholic Central today - 5:30 pm at Carmelita Hall. Bring a couple friends and get behind the "Young Saints". Over the Christmas holidays your Saints will be participating in two local tournaments. This weekend the Saints are at the prestigious U. of Windsor Invitational taking on Ursuline College tomorrow night at 7:30 pm - St. Denis Centre.
