Athletes of the Week

This week's winners are:

Marissa McNaughton - not only is Marissa an incredible athlete, she is an intuitive defensive player with great reaction skills and ability.  She has also been pushed into a bigger role by injury of players on the team.
She played a fantastic set of games at the all Catholic tournament.

Nic Seguin - Nick back stopped the boy's hockey team to a pair of wins last week allowing only one goal in the two games combined.  Great job Nic.

Could both of these athletes report to Mrs. VanBeeks room for their picture please - preferably period 4.

Are you in grade 10?  Are you interested in taking Peer leadership in Grade 11.  In that course we work in the school community tutoring students, we go to Muskoka , we take a leadership role in school events and we fundraise.
If this interests you then choose Peer leadership in your course selections.    All you need is an overall average of 70%.   Pick up the application in Guidance and include it with you course choice form.  The course code is GPP 301.

On Friday, February 28th there will be a period one buy-out for classes interested in attending our 2014 Sears Ontario Drama Festival performance entitled "A Tale of Every Other Person."  Tickets will be $2/person and the entire class must attend.  This play is written by our very own Miranda Furlan and directed by Ashley Spina.  It tells the story of Allie White (played by Cameron McMullin) and follows her through the struggles of teenage life.  We encourage your home room classes to support the arts.
