MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
MONDAY, APRIL 28
On Thursday 3 members of the Junior badminton team participated in SWOSSAA in Chatham. Dalton Boyle faced some strong competition in Boys singles but managed to finish with a 2 and 2 record. Also, partners Mike Hatch and Mitch Zimmerman had an excellent showing. They managed to beat their first 2 competitors but fell short the next 2 matches to 2 teams from Leamington. Congratulations to all of you and best of luck at the senior level next year!
All badminton players are asked to return their shirts to the phys ed office ASAP.
This week's athletes of the week are Hannah Drkulec and Greg Johnston. Hannah scored a hat trick in the senior girl's victory over Massey. Greg had two goals in a soccer win and finished 2nd in the Windsor Essex fitness combine held at Belle River High. Congrats to both athletes - please see Mrs. Van Beek in room 161 to have your picture taken today please.
Junior girls soccer practice will be right after school tonight. Weather depending. Please listen to announcements at the end of the day.
The boys baseball team defeated and tied St. Mikes from Toronto - a perrenial OFSAA favorite - in a pair of exhibition games on Friday. Highlights included Mitch Zimmerman with 4 hits and Cole Brunette with three. Next action is today vs Massey at 3:00 in Belle River -

Congratulations to Greg Johnston who represented St. Anne at the Windsor Essex Fitness challenge held at Belle River High School and brought home a silver medal. Great job Greg.
The science olympiad team had an amazing performance on Friday at the University of Windsor.
We came home with a first place finish in the biology event, a third place finish in the amazing race and we WON 2nd place overall.
Congratulations to the team -- it is the best performance we have had in many years.
Mr Couvion and Mrs Herdman are very proud of you.
Attention Best Buddies!
