IT'S EARTH DAY TODAY!! WHOOOO-HOOOOOOOO!!
Believe it or not, even the small things we do can make a big difference.
TAKE ACTION... and celebrate Earth Day by doing this:
Ditch your water bottle, and bring a re-usable bottle instead.
(NOTE!! don't actually ditch the water bottle - recycle it by taking the cap off and toss the bottle into the blue bin, and the cap into the garbage)
DID YOU KNOW?
24 million gallons of oil are needed to produce a billion plastic bottles. If you were to fill one-quarter of a plastic water bottle with oil, you would be looking at roughly the amount used to produce that bottle.
What's worse?...plastic bottles take 700 years to begin breaking down. That's a long time.
Stay tuned for more suggestions on how to make every day, EARTH DAY.
IMPORTANT TRACK MEETING TODAY:
All track and field athletes are asked to meet in the CAFETORIUM after school today before practice. The next track meet is on Thursday.
