Missions! Missions! Missions!
As many of you know our beloved Sister Monica has retired after an amazing teaching career. One of the many great things that Sister did was collect money for the missions each Wednesday raising thousands upon thousands of dollars helping to sponsor the less fortunate in our community and overseas. I need a favor from you St. Anne's. THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1OTH will be a mission collection for Sister Monica and we want it to be BIG! If you could bring a loonie, toonie, or even more we are going to present Sister with this cheque at our Thanksgiving Mass as a Thank You for all her service so she may donate it to her favorite charity. Don't let me down St. Anne's. That's this Wednesday, September 10th Mission Collection for Sister!

The senior girls basketball team opened their exhibition season with a 4th place finish in the London JP II invitational . The lady Saints opened the tourney with a 44-43 nailbiter victory over Ancaster . On Saturday morning the girls performed well in spurts but lost to a more experienced and game ready St. Pats team 45 - 38 . In their last game of the weekend the girls fell to the host school by ten. Highlites of the weekend were very good play by Nancy Ulicny , solid contributions on both ends of the floor by Sara Pizzicaroli , Kyla Sovran provided a defensive spark coming off the bench. Offensively Hannah McClounie displayed 3 point shooting ability and Brielle Loebach demonstrated an ability to attack and score against any player. Not so highlites was a disappointing lack of confidence and mental toughness against average competition in the tournaments final game.
Practice tonight at 4:10 , pre-practice workout at 3:45 in the atrium area.
