MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

Cafeteria Fuel: Today we have Mexi Fries!  We also invite you to come in before school for our early morning specials 2 cookies for $2.00 OR 1 cookie and a milk $2.50.

Reminder to all Students regarding the Taxi Service after School:
The taxi service will run Monday thru Thursday.  The pickup time is 4:30 at the front of the school and the drop off is at Sobey's in Tecumseh.  There will be a sign-up sheet  located in the main office which must be signed by 1 o'clock.  If no one signs up by 1 o'clock the taxi service will be CANCELLED.  Also, the taxi service only sends one taxi at a time which holds only 6 students so if more is needed they will send for another one which will be here in 10 minutes.   So, if there is no room in the first taxi you may have to wait for another one to arrive.

The office needs to be aware of any potentially serious medical issues for all of our students.  As an example, anaphylaxis is a serious allergic reaction that could occur if exposed to particular allergens such as peanuts, and requires the use of an epi pen.  Some of you who suffer from this serious allergic condition may carry an epi pen on your person and that is fine, as long as you have notified the office of your condition.  Other students with serious allergies may prefer that an epi pen be stored in the office as a precautionary measure.  If you and your parents would like the office to store an epi pen for you, please stop by the office to see Mrs. Thompson to get a form that must be completed by your parents and family physician.  This must be taken care of right away.

If you suffer from any other type of serious medical condition that may require medication, and your parents would like the medication stored in the office for your personal use, we must have a consent form completed by your parents and family physician.  Please see Mrs. Thompson for the form.  And again, this must be taken care of right away.

Want to go to Europe? You can. This year, we are organizing a Europe trip to Rome, Pompeii and Greece. Look for posters in the school for information. There will be a parent's meeting on Monday the 22nd at 6 pm in the LCC. Want to find out more, come on out. If you cannot attend that meeting, please see Ms. Nantais in room 269 for your information and registration package.

Starting next week on Tuesday and Thursday after school 2:30 - 3:30, Mr. Larocque will be available in Rm 115 for any students needing extra help with Gr. 9 Geography.
