All senior grade 11 and 12 students interested in the Outdoor Education field trip to Tobermory this spring. The deadline is only a couple of weeks away and although interest is "robust", deposits are "a trickle". Don't let this great opportunity to experience the great outdoors pass you by; get information sheets from Mr. Byrne in room 259 and get your deposit in before March Break!
Hey Saints! It's back... the St. Anne's Literary Laurels Writing Contest.
Students in all grades can enter one submission in any, or all, of the FOUR categories.
Awards are given for first and second place finishes in each category.
The categories are:
POETRY
NON-FICTION
FICTION, and
SPOKEN WORD POETRY (Judged by performance only)
HOW TO ENTER:
All written pieces are to be typed and submitted to Ms. Rozic (Room 267) or Ms. Cavallin (Room 265).
CONTEST DEADLINE: March 2, 2015
Please include a cover page stapled to your entry with the following information:
1) Name
2) Grade
3) Category of entry: (Poetry, Fiction or Non-Fiction)
4) Homeroom Teacher and Classroom Number
5) Accurate Word Count of Submission (Entries must not exceed 3000 words)
SPOKEN WORD ENTRIES: You will be judged by your performance approximately two weeks after poem submission in front of a live audience during Period 4.
Your Lady Saints lost the first game of the finals yesterday by a score of 3 to 1. They are off to Amherstburg today in hopes of bringing the series back to Lakeshore. Please excuse the girls today at 1:05.
Today is the last day to sign up for the jr boys hockey team in rm 175.

This week the athletes of the week are Taylor Reaume for the girl's hockey team and Blake Ondricko from the senior boys basketball team.
Taylor Reaume had 3 goals and 2 assists in 2 games last week.
Blake Ondricko was stellar in the 63 to 52 semi-final victory over Kennedy Clippers Friday night. 13 points 7 assists.
Can Taylor and Blake please see ms Vanbeek for a picture sometime today in room 162.
Attention Best Buddies!
There is an important Best Buddies meeting this week on Wednesday after school in room 204. Members are reminded to bring videos, prayers, pledge sheets and other materials to plan for Best Buddies month.
Attention all girls soccer players. Tryouts for this years senior girls soccer team commence this Thursday right after school in the big gym. Please sign up outside the PE office. All grades welcome.
Attention all staff and students please come to see the school Fashion Show (The Arches of Gold & Glamor) on Thursday, February 24th at 6pm! Tickets can be purchased during both lunches or the night of the show for only $10.00. This is a charity event and all proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in honor of Ovarian Cancer! There will be a bake sale & refreshments for purchase as well! Come support our students who have been working very hard to make this a memorable show & event!
Attention all ARTS students or any student who would like one. The Arts dept. is selling Saints Arts tuques for 10.00 please see Mr. Gagnon if you would like to purchase one.
