Congratulations to our Junior Boys' soccer team who started their season with an exhibition win over Brennan 3-1. Goals scored by Luke Gagnon, AJ Ryan and Nikko Drkulek thanks to a great head shot by Max Baker-young.
Last practice tonight before the tournament on Monday. Good job boys keep it up.
Last night at the University of Windsor your lady saints soccer team retained first place in league action with a 0-0 draw against Holy Names. It was a hard fought battle by the team who had a couple of starters not playing due to injury and Muskoka Woods however others stepped up to the challenge. With solid Middle play by Hannah Drkulec, Alaina Valeeri and Daniela Valente and awesome wing play by Brielle Loebach and Nancy Ulicny the saints attack was always a threat. In addition, mention must be made of the fine defensive play of Kylene Dupuis, Kyla Sovran, Emma Collins and Isabelle Howie. Up top Christina Di Carlo, Marlee Hewitt and Mikayla Russo gave the Knights fits at times. Goalie Paige Brown had her best game of the season making two outstanding saves that could have been goals if it were not for her outstanding effort.
Next action is at Home on Monday when the team takes on Villanova at 4 pm. Practice tonight.
Would Josh Bonneau please see Mr. Procyk in room 270 today.
