What does it feel like to be the second fastest 4x1 relay team in Ontario? Just ask our Senior Boys team (Ben "Cook It" Clarke, Braeden "We Mean Business" Bracchio, Stephen "King of the Curve" Sarweh, and Hayden "Keep Calm and Power On" Bourque). They worked as a team and ran an amazing race to win the silver medal, also setting a personal best.
Jesse Devogeleare set his sights high and vaulted to a Bronze medal in junior boys pole vault, also competing in the junior boys high jump later that afternoon.
In the midget boys pole vault, Zeyad Saadi, set a personal best and was the 5th best pole vaulter in Ontario in his division.
On Saturday, Brad Gyemi got inverted and proved to be the 6th best senior boy vaulter in all of Ontario.
Frankie Calvaruso set yet another personal best, and finished as the 10th fastest 400m runner in our province for grade nine athletes.
All of the coaches are very proud of your efforts, and you should wear your OFSAA gear proudly. Not many athletes get to say that they are among the best in Ontario. To other members of the track and field team - we also congratulate you on a wonderful season and look forward to working with you in the years to come. Your achievements and support of your fellow athletes did not go unnoticed.
We will see you at the athletic banquet on Thursday and at our Team Dinner at Terra Cotta's on the 24th.
Congrats to all the Music Banquet award recipients and everyone who attended the 37th annual Music Banquet. Great time was had by all hope to see you next year.
