Attention Grade 9, 10 and 11 Students,
The Europe 2017 trip (that's for next school year) still has 7 spots open.   While this trip will spend several days in beautiful European cities such as Amsterdam and visit the stunning Palace of Versailles, it is focussed around Canadian battlefields of WWI and WWII.  Come and see where our soldiers fought at the Somme in WWI and where they stormed Juno Beach on D-Day in WWII.  The highlight of the trip will be the time spent taking part in a special ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge at the majestic Canadian memorial that stands atop Hill 145.  This is a once in a lifetime event and will include speeches by a number of world leaders including the British royal family.  Come and be a part of history in the making by  joining thousands of Canadians as they honor the heroism of Canadian soldiers overseas at Vimy Ridge in 2017.  For more information see Ms. Cecile in Room 257 ASAP, space is running out and the price will increase as of Dec 1st.   Be a witness to history as Canadians return to Vimy in April 2017.

Swimmers if you do not have a ride to tomorrow's swim meet please see Ms. Facchinato ASAP. Also, see Ms. Facchinato for the races you have been entered in.

Friday night the junior girls basketball team lost a heart breaking 32-31 championship final to Sandwich. A slow start and cold shooting hurt the Saints. Congrats to all team members on an outstanding season and a great effort in the final.

Friday night the senior girls basketball team lost in an exciting 42-39 final to Holy Name.  Cold shooting plagued the team early as they trailed at half 15-10. True character and grit brought the team back to lead with just over four minutes to play.  Bad luck cramped the Saints chance to win as the ladies fell just short.   Maddy Bardoel with 12 and Brielle Loebach with 10 led the Saints offence.  Many thanks to the students and staff who took the time to come out and support the squad in a very entertaining game.  The Saints now wait and hope as a victory by Holy Name tomorrow night gives the ladies a chance at a challenge game for the 2nd Swossa birth.  Many thanks to the students and staff who came out to support the team which made for an outstanding atmosphere.

Practice tonight 2:30.
