There will be a A Series of Movies Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and Good Shepherd Parish
Council 9671 Youth Commission on FRIDAY, JANUARY 29TH, 2016 at 7:00 PM
Good Shepherd Parish Youth Commission and our Knights of Columbus are excited to welcome parish families and friends of all ages to enjoy a series of movie nights.
Popcorn, soft drinks & water provided by Team Knights
Admission is Free but we bring a canned good -- Peanut Butter, Canned Tuna, Pastas, Cereals or non-perishable foods to benefit families in need, through our parish St. Vincent De Paul Society.

Inviting ALL Teens to~Be in our Good Shepherd "Living Stations of the Cross" play for Teens.
There will be two performances on Good Friday both performances take place at our Emeryville site– we begin rehearsals in Lent.
You'll earn your service hours while doing it and ALSO - you'll be fed after-school snacks!~

·~~~~~~ ALL talents are needed and appreciated:
HOw  Can you get involved?~~ By being: ~~An Actor, Actress, on Stage crew…Lighting tech, Sound tech, Props tech, Readers, Narrator, Greeters, Make-up help – however you feel you would like to use your gifts.

Hey Saints,  Do you llove to write? Don't be shy, enter  your writing in our annual competition...
It's back... the St. Anne's Literary Laurels Writing Contest.  
Students in all grades can enter one submission in any, or all, of the FOUR categories.

Awards are given for first and second place finishers in each category.

The categories are:
POETRY
NON-FICTION
FICTION, and
SPOKEN WORD POETRY (Judged by performance only)

Here's HOW TO ENTER:

All written pieces are to be typed and submitted to Ms. Rozic in Room 267               
The CONTEST DEADLINE is  February 1st, 2015

Please include a cover page stapled to your entry with the following information:

1)      Name
2)      Grade
3)      Category of entry: (Poetry, Fiction or Non-Fiction, or Spoken Word)
4)      Homeroom Teacher and Classroom Number
5)      Accurate Word Count of Submission (Entries must not exceed 3000 words)

Please note.. all SPOKEN WORD ENTRIES will be judged by performances on February 25th in front of a live audience during Period 4.

All winning entries will be published in our St. Anne's Literary Anthology.
