The Senior Badminton Team played in the County Regional badminton tournament yesterday at the St Clair Sports Complex.  It was an exciting day for all of our athletes.
The Boy's and Girl's singles players faced some very tough competition all day.  Although Carter Corp and Richard Liu did not advance into the finals, they took their opponents to 3 sets in some "nail biter" matches as did Olivia Kireta and Deanna Gitalini.
In the  Girl's Doubles division, Cassidy Barr and Rachel Boyd found their rhythm early but were eventually eliminated. However, Taylor Reaume and Hope McMahon finished 6th overall and will advance to the WECSSAA tournament.

In the Mixed Doubles division, Chris Mousseau and Rachel Kouri and Dylon Ryan and Madie Mullins demonstrated strong team play, but fell short of qualifying in the next level as well.
Lastly, our two Boys Doubles teams represented St Annes very well yesterday.  Carson Burke and Cameron George landed 7th spot as alternates for the WECSSAA tournament and Chris Rinaldi-Ross and Dalton Boyle placed 2nd overall, bringing home the silver medal for their division.  Congratualtions team!  Next Practice is on Thursday.
