ATTENTION all period 3 grade 12 classes.
Have you decided on the item you will put into your grade 12 time capsule?
You should decide AS AN ENTIRE CLASS one item that you think accurately represents this year and this time in your lives. Whether it is an event that happened (example: Newspaper article) a photograph (example: of your entire class, or maybe someone glued to their phone checking their twittter feed) an art piece, and object whatever.
WE ARE NOT COLLECTING THESE OBJECTS. You must send them to MR. LEPAIN'S classroom to be put into the capsule by WEDS of this week, that is the deadline.
Join in on the fun, grade 12's this capsule will be buried out back and will lock our memories in as a the 2016 graduating class!
The girls slo-pitch team played their first two games on a chilly afternoon this past Friday with the first game against a hungry leamington squad. The lady saints played some good defence behind solid pitching by Kaity Greco, and added some offence with impressive hitting by Ashley Mullins who nearly hit for the cycle. A 3-run inside the park homer by Mullins and some excellent pinch running by Senior Ashley Mullins in the seventh saw the girls fight back from 5 runs down to nearly take the game. The final score was 9-10. In the second game the lady saints went up against perennial favourite Amherst. The girls gave them a run for their money. Newcomer Bre Paolatto hit a solo in the park home run in the second keeping the girls in it. Lots of run support in the 4th brought the girls even at 6-6. Despite solid pitching by Kaity Greco and another base clearing 3-run homer by Ashley Mullins the girls lost a hard fought game, 12-16. Great games girls, a couple more catches and we could have won both. This coming Friday the girls will face sandwich and kingsville at CoAn park in mcgregor and hopefully bring the record back to 500. Reminder, practice tonight at the diamond.
