There will be a track and field meeting for all athletes who competed on the team this year, immediately after school in Mr. Garant's room.
Another warm day in south mcgregor. The girls lost the first game against the number 1 seed general amherst 8-0, but good defence kept them in it the whole way.
The second game was better, we got ahead early and led the whole way. We beat walkerville (#1 in the city) with a final score of 9-5 to move on in the tournament.
Our third game was a bit tougher against a hungry Villanova squad. The girls kept it close the whole game but villys defence wouldn't let us get any runs in the early innings. The girls rallied in the top of the 7th with three runs but ended up losing the game 5-3.
It was a fun day and a great season! Congrats and thanks from both coaches Eckart and Couvion! Special thanks to our graduating players, pitcher Kaity "first strike" Greco, outfielders Amy "home run" maitre and Vanessa "wheels" Despenic and our all star shortstop Ashley "the twin" maitre.

There will be a Spring Football camp starting next week after school - this will be a great opportunity for anyone looking to play football. This is a non-contact camp to introduce the game to new and returning players. If you are in grade 9 and did not play last year this is a perfect time to try it out.
