Thursday night the Senior Girls’ basketball season came to an end with a hard fought 62-49 loss to Sarnia Northern. The game was a fast paced back and forth affair, each time the visitors took the lead the Saints managed to fight back. Heading into the fourth quarter the score was tied but cold shooting and some solid Sarnia defence eventually cost the Saints the chance to upset one of the top 3 teams in the province. All players were outstanding with Claire Lamarre - first team all star, Madi Bardoel - second team all star and Anna Ulicny - 3rd team all star leading the Saints on both ends of the floor. The game marks the end the high school career of Cassandra Lesage, Ophelie Lesage , Madi Bardoel and Anna Ulicny who have been keys to the continued excellence of the girls basketball program the past four years. Great work ladies!!!
