Sr. Boys Soccer Tryouts
The first tryout for the Sr. Boy's Soccer Team begins today, at 6:30pm to 8pm in Carmelita Hall. Please be properly dressed for the tryout. (proper shoes, shin guards)
Anyone interested in acting in our Dramatic Arts portion of the Spring Showcase should meet in the Drama room after school today. Students who have not yet auditioned, are welcome to join us.
Attention Best Buddies!
There is an important Best Buddies meeting this Wednesday after school. Members are reminded to bring prayers, videos and craft ideas. If you cannot attend you must see a staff advisor to continue with the team. That's Best Buddies Wednesday - be there!
Attention all choir members, there will be a rehearsal tonight from 2:30-4pm
Also, for anyone else who'd like to go to Stratford to see the musical, "Guys and Dolls", please see Mr. Bergeron or Mrs. Villella as soon as possible for a permission slip as the trip is quickly selling out.
Europe trip meeting. Remember that there is a parent meeting for the Europe Trip on Thursday at 6pm in the LCC. If you are still interested there is still plenty of time since we are going in 2018. Please see either Mrs. Niforos, Mr. Richardson or Mrs Senjanin for more details.
Any players, junior or senior interested in playing badminton are asked to sign up outside of room 209. Please be sure to have proper attire at school, so that you are able to play when the gym becomes available.
Senior Boys Basketball:
Thursday night your Senior Saints saw their season come to a heartbreaking end in a 50 to 49 double overtime loss to Herman on our Carmelita Hall floor. The Saints trailed for much of the contest, taking their first lead late in the fourth quarter. Thereafter, the game was a back and forth battle until the end, with the Griffs prevailing by the narrowest of margins. Blake Ondricko, with 20 points led the Saints, followed by Matt Bardoel, Curtis Zimmerman, and Malyk Thompson, with 8 each. Matt Grainger provided spark off the bench with hard-nosed defense and a clucth 3. The game saw the completion of a stellar career by Ondricko and also the career of welcome addition Thompson. Thanks for your commitment to St. Anne Boys Basketball, gents. You will be missed. Congrats on a fine season, boys. Stay tuned for end of season party and wrap-up.
The senior girls volleyball team took a convincing game four from the St. Joe's Laser to win the AAA WECSSAA Senior Girls Championship Thursday night in our gym. Awesome defense, blistering attacks and stellar serving demonstrated the great team effort by you Lady Saints. Thank you to the staff and students that supported the girls through every point. This Friday at 4pm, the senior girls host UCC for the SWOSSAA Championship, all fan support would be greatly appreciated. Practice today at 230pm.
Senior girls pre season run today at 245pm please meet outside the weight room. Dress for outdoors. Tomorrow 4pm in the big gym, indoor tryout. iClimb forms must be returned to Mrs. Ditchfield by noon today. Saints Spirit wear is your only attire tomorrow as we attack the 1000 stairs for the United Way.
