Hey Saints....are you ready for a trip discovering some of most beautiful places in the Bruce Peninsula?

There will be a very important meeting today for all Leadership, Travel and Tourism and Outdoor Activities students interested in attending our school trip to Tobermory this May.  The meeting will occur during both lunches in the gym.

Attention grade tens! The Literacy Test is fast approaching. It is this Thursday, March 30.
1. To help make sure we haven't missed your name, please double check the Writers List we have posted outside of Guidance if you know you are writing.
2. If you are in grade 11 or 12 and believe you should write the Literacy Test, please check as well. The only exceptions are those of you who have decided to take the Ontario Literacy Course instead-your names won't be there.
3. Some of you have told us you will be absent for the Literacy Test but we have left your names on the Writers List in case you are able to attend. If you know you are going to be absent but have not told Mrs. Taylor or Ms. Facchinato, please do do as quickly as possible.
4. Some of you may be wondering what will happen if we have a fog day on the day of the literacy test. EQAO says that if the schools are open, we must run the test for all students who are here. It is very important for you to realize that there will not be another day to write the test if only the Essex County busses are cancelled! You will not be able to write until next year. Let's all hope no fog day!
5. On the day of the Literacy Test, there are some important things to remember:
report directly to wherever you are writing the test, NOT your homeroom. If you did not receive a note telling you that you are writing in a classroom, you are writing in the gym.
There are NO electronic devices allowed in the test area-no cell phones or smart watches or electronics of any kind. If you have an electronic device, you may be accused of cheating. Don't be THAT student!
You must be in uniform for the test. If you are not in uniform, you will be sent out to change and you will not be given extra time to write the test.
If you are late to school that morning, you will be allowed to start whatever test booklet the group is working on, but you will not be given extra time.
You must complete the test in blue or black pen or pencil, no other colours. You may use a highlighter but not white-out or liquid paper.
finally, make sure you get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast before the test.

If you have any questions or you have found a mistake, please see Mrs. Taylor or Mrs. Jefford in the English department or talk to Mr. Cowan in Guidance as quickly as possible.

Each April 2nd, there are celebrations world wide to mark the start of, Light It Up Blue,  in recognition of United Nations -sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day and World Autism Month throughout April.

We will be lighting it up blue in our atrium for the month of April and dressing it up blue on April 3 to celebrate this event.  Many staff and students purchased a Light it Up Blue shirt from Mrs. Goggins marketing class and will be wearing these on Monday.
We invite ALL other staff and student to wear blue on Monday for a donation of $2.00.  The profits from these endeavours will benefit students in our special education program as well as Autism Ontario Windsor Essex.

On Monday, student council will be doing blue puzzle piece face painting and the cosmetology students will be painting nails blue.

We are hoping for sea of blue throughout the school and 100% participation
