The cross country team competed in their first meet yesterday at Malden Park. All of the athletes ran well with special mention to the midget girls team who were misguided by an official and ran an extra kilometre on the hilly course. Terrisa Baselj led the girls with a 15th place finish, followed by Rya Palmer, Emma Petro and McKenna Renaud. Other top performances in their age divisions were Anthony Thompson, Natalie Adam, Meg Mooney and Gabriele Biundo. Congratulations!
Yesterday the Sr. Boys lost to a tough Massey team but continued to show growth. Aiden Mitrevski threw a 50yard TD to Grant Turner and a 25 yard pass to Andrew Kennette. Matthew Carroccia kicked the convert for the Saints. Defensively strong performances were showed by Jack Howe, Brock Bellaire and Zach Argent.
The boys need lots of support as they face Sandwich next week on Thursday.

The competition at SWOSSAA was a quite a bit tougher and the season ended yesterday, but not without with a respectful showing from the St. Anne's teams. Congratulations to both teams and I am looking forward to seeing you all back next year.
p.s. please return your team shirts ASAP.
