Hey Best buddies!
There is an important Best buddies meeting this Wednesday after school. We are starting to plan for our annual Christmas party. Only members who help plan will attend the party. Please see a staff advisor if you cannot attend this week's meeting.

This past weekend the senior boys basketball competed in the Freed's Invitational.  They started strong in front of our home crowd and easily beat an outmatched Chatham-Kent team.  The team was paced with high scorers Malyk Thompson and Curtis Zimmerman.  In the semifinals the boys played against a stronger Catholic Central team.  They were able to hold on with a close victory due to some clutch baskets, especially a late 3-pointer from the junior call-up Kyle Fazekas.  In the finals the boys were matched up against an Assumption team that was skilled and efficient on both sides of the court.  The boys went down by double digits early in the game.  However, determined defense and some good shooting later in the game allowed the boys to take the lead with minutes left.  Unfortunately, it came down to some little mistakes that were just too costly and Assumption hung on for a 2 point victory.  Congratulations to Curtis Zimmerman and Malyk Thompson who were named tournament all-stars.   It was great start to the season and it will be an exciting season of basketball for the saints.  The team wants to send out their thanks and appreciation to all the classes that came out and supported our buyout on Friday afternoon.  If you enjoyed the competition and school spirit in the stands, stay tuned to our scheduled home games coming up in December and bring your friends out to the games to cheer on your junior and senior boys basketball teams.

The boys are reminded of their practice immediately after school.

Will all new Hockey players please see Mr. Talerico for jersey sizing and number selection as well. The sooner we get all the numbers the sooner we can order
