Hey Saints, Do you love to write? Don't hide your creative masterpieces in your notebooks! Instead, enter your writing in the St. Anne’s Literary Laurels Writing Contest. Winning pieces will go on to represent our school at the province- wide OECTA writing contest in March.
Students in all grades can enter one submission in any, or all, of the following categories:
POETRY
NON-FICTION
FICTION, and
SPOKEN WORD POETRY
Here's HOW TO ENTER:
All written pieces are to be typed and submitted to Mrs. Rozic in Room 267
The CONTEST DEADLINE is Tuesday, February 27th.
Please include a cover page stapled to your entry with the following information:
1) Name
2) Grade
3) Category of entry: (Poetry, Fiction or Non-Fiction, or Spoken Word)
4) Homeroom Teacher and Classroom Number
5) Accurate Word Count of Submission (Entries must not exceed 2500 words)
Please note.. all SPOKEN WORD ENTRIES will be judged by performances in May.

Last Friday your Jr. Boys advanced WECSSAA Final with a commanding 70-51 win over Herman. John Broderick scored 15, Brayden Amlin added 12, Steven Hill chipped in 10 and Kyle Fazekas paced the Saints 24 points. With that win the boys earned the right to play for the WECSSAA Championship on Sunday.
On Sunday, the boys started fast with 17-10 lead after one but found themselves down at half. In the 2nd half the boys rained down 9, 3 point baskets and played outstanding team defence winning 63-53 to capture the WECSSAA Championship and complete a very rare undefeated season. Brayden Amlin scored 16, Kyle Fazekas added 11 including 3, 4th quarter 3s, John Broderick dominated the boards leading to many of Steven Hill's team leading 20 pts.
The boys now advance to the SWOSSAA Championship this Friday at 6pm in Chatham.

Senior girls volleyball team captured the WECSSAA Championship last Wednesday in our gym, defeating St. Joe's in an exciting 5 set match which saw the Saints prevail as the champions. The girls compete for the SWOSSAA championship tomorrow night at 7pm in Chatham at UCC, congratulations ladies, keep the winning streak going.
Attention all pole vaulter’s practices star this Thursday from 4-6 in gym C gr.9’s male and females welcome.

Sr Boy’s Soccer
Soccer tryouts begin today in Carmelita hall, at 6:45 until 8:15pm. All potential Sr. players are invited. Proper shoes and shin pads are required.

We are participating in the POLAR PLUNGE for Special Olympics on MARCH 2nd at St. Clair College. A special Polar Pool is being set up outside!! Are you brave enough to make the jump!
Members of the Swim Team and Student Council are getting on the bus provided and taking the plunge and if you would like to join them see Mrs. Fuerth or grab all the info from the Campus Ministry Door. Seating on the bus is limited so the first 50 forms back in get the spots.
