MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

MONDAY, DECEMBER 9
Cafeteria Fuel: 

Could the gymnastics team please meet in room 208 at the beginning of 1st lunch today.

This weeks athletes of the week are Anthony Zrvnar and Alaina Mancina.  Anthony led the sr saints basketball team averaging 18 points a game in the freeds tournament as well as leading the team to a regular season opening win against St. Joes.

Alaina was outstanding as she backstopped the girls hockey team posting back to back shutouts in league games last week.  Could both of these athletes report to Mrs Van Beek in room 121 at the beginning of fourth period to have your pictures taken

The Wrestling team had another great showing this weekend.
We had 7 athletes medal. Connor McLeod, Bailey Alagha, Remington Stacey, Alaina Banks, and Jessica Jenkins each earned a bronze. Kailyn Cozad in her first tournament won silver. Finally but not least Eric Renaud captured gold for the Saints. Congrats also goes out to all 18 wrestlers that participated .

All choir members please make sure you have your permission form signed for tomorrow's school tours.

Over the weekend your Senior Saints participated in the annual Southern Ontario Shootout Invitational.  Friday saw the Saints defeat a solid Korah team from Sauklt Ste. Marie putting the Saints on the championship side of the draw.  On Saturday the Saints lost to a strong Burlington Nelson squad 59 to 32 and Hamilton St. Mary's 51 to 44 in the defacto third place game.  Practice today 2:30 - Carmelita Hall.
There will be a mandatory meeting for the newspaper team after school on Wednesday, Dec. 11 in the LCC for all writers, photographers and editors.  Again that is this Wednesday after school for the newspaper team.   All assignments will be determined at this meeting before the holidays.  There will be refreshments.If you cannot attend, see Mr. Nehmetallah...

There are only FOUR DAYS LEFT to purchase the gifts for the family that your
home room has adopted this Christmas.  

This Friday at 8:30 am, the homerooms will be called down
a few at a time to bring your gifts to the Atrium for pick up.  
PLEASE remember to label each bag with the family number and the age and gender of the recipient.

St. Anne is having a jingle bell run and you are invited.  When - Wednesday December 18th during period three class.  Who can come? Individual students from period three classes or the entire class preferably.  Cost is $2 which includes a candy cane and hot chocalate.  Any money left over will go to the food bank.  If you so choose you can bring cans.  You must wear some thing Christmassy!!  Sign up with your period three teachers!

We now have 25 students enrolled for a trip to the Big Apple - New York City this April 3 to the 7th.  We are opening it up to the rest of the school for the remaining 10 spots.  If you would like to join us, come to room 122a in the LCC and see who is going and to get more information.  only 10 spots left, so act now and join us in the Big Apple!   See Mr. Nehmetallah at Saintastic TV in the LCC for more information.
