Attention grade 10 and 11 students!

Native Studies courses are now available at St. Anne's. This is a great opportunity for students to learn alternative curriculum offered at only a couple of schools in our board!

We offer a Grade 11 English University course, NBE 3U, called Contemporary Aboriginal Voices. You can take it in place of the regular Grade 11 University English credit.

Also running next year is a Grade 12 course, NDW4M, called Issues of Indigenous Peoples in a Global Context. This course is a great choice for students interested in social justice, law, international relations, world issues, conflict studies, history and sociology.

If you are interested in learning more, please see Ms.Cavallin in room 265.

Senior Boys Basketball:  On Wednesday, your Senior Saints lost in WECSSAA quarter-final action 58 to 33 to the very strong and defending league champion Catholic Central Comets.  Difficulty in attacking the Comets relentless pressure, poor defensive rebounding, and a cold shooting night all contributed to the Saints demise.  Because of Holy Names victory at General Amherst the Saints season and dream of getting to OFSAA effectively ended with this loss.  Special thanks to graduating Seniors Daniel Anderi, Nick Caliwliw, Kevin Limbombe, Vincent Mullins, and Jack Zimmerman.  Your dedication to the program is greatly appreciated.  You will all be missed.

Are you interested in playing hockey and getting a high school credit?  Well we here at St. Anne have a course for you. The hockey course is open to boys and girls, from beginners to AAA players. Check out the posters for around the school for the course code or see Mr. Burke in rm 175 for more hockey details, many have come forward so make sure you register.

On Tuesday the boys hockey team will begin their quest to OFFSSAA - They face a new and improve Sandwich team this Tuesday at Tecumseh Arena 2:30 Fan support is greatly appreciated by the boys.

Mr Burke is looking for two volunteers to work the doors at the arena and collect money - if interested see Mr Burke in rm 175 asap
