Thurs Sept 25 - Attention grade 12 students!  Huron College from the University of Western Ontario will be here today at 10:55.  Check out their display in the atrium and learn about their first year programs, scholarships and residence.

Today, as you leave the school for the Terry Fox Walk take a look at the front of the school.  You will notice that flying beside the Canadian flag is a green and white flag.  That flag represents all people in Ontario that speak French.  September 25 is the day set aside to celebrate French in the province of Ontario which is why we had the prayer and national anthem in French today.  So whether you are in a French Immersion class, or in a French as a second language class, today is your day to celebrate the fact that we are bilingual and with that comes all the benefits including better job possibilities in the future.  Vive le français!

Your saints travelled to Vista yesterday playing their second game of the season.  In a game where your Saints struggled to move the ball, they were defeated to a very good football team, but still had some highlights during the game.

The highlights were Aiden Gorey making crushing tackles from his safety position and Dawson Burks with a 50 yd. one.  Next game vs Brennan next week.

The tennis team is expected to practice on your own this weekend.
Our next practice will be Monday after school, however, members of both boys doubles teams must see Mrs. Gyemi in room 171 today to sign the wecssa consent form and to receive some important information.

golf... golf.... golf

It was a beautiful day on the golf course yesterday, however, despite a great effort our team did not qualify to move on.

The good news is that we had two individuals who played well and will be competing this Monday in Blenheim.  Congratulations goes out to April Lesperance and Andrew Smith for a great game yesterday and good luck in next Monday's tournament in Blenheim.

Computer programming students interested in participating in a programming competition at the University of Windsor should see Ms. Gayowsky today during their lunch in room 161.
