Wed Sept 24 - Attention grade 12 students!  Brescia College from the University of Western Ontario will be here today at 10:55.  Check out their display in the atrium and learn about their first year programs, scholarships and residence.

Are you interested in Slam Poetry? Do you love to write poetry? Do you love to perform? If you said yes to any of these questions, then please come to Room 265 at lunch on Wednesday, September 24th, to learn about upcoming Slam Poetry events at our school.

Please see Ms. Cavallin, Mrs. Rozic or Mrs. Amyot if you have questions.


Mrs. Herdman's period 3 class will take 2nd lunch for today only.


Are you interested in journalism or just love to write? The Saintastic Newspaper Team of 2014-2015 is starting up again Saints, and wants passionate and dedicated writers to be on the team!! This is an AMAZING club to be on! As a matter of fact, by the end of the year you are rewarded with a certificate of excellence and a letter of reference by Mr.Nehmetallah! The first meeting is Wednesday, September 24 after school! THAT IS TODAY AFTERSCHOOL! It's not too late to sign up! You can sign up in the LCC in Mr.Nehmetallah's room or you can come directly to the meeting after school  See you there Saints!

The entire tennis team will be practicing at the St. Anne courts tonight and Thursday after school.  
This includes the both boys' doubles teams.  Be here tonight.  
There are forms to sign and arrangements to be discussed for WECSSA next week.
Please remember to bring your $20.00 athletic fee by Monday.

There is very little time left to prepare the Muskoka Dance.

Practices begin today and will continue daily on both lunches until October 13th.  
Bring your lunch with you.

If you are on first lunch, meet in room 171 today and Miah Pathak will be teaching the dance.  
If you have 2nd lunch, Jocelyn Guilbert will be teaching the dance.
She will be in room 201 for today.
Remember to stop by "What's in Store" during lunch for some great healthy snacks, including frozen yogurt.

Also, with projects just around the corner, we have school supplies, including bristol board and flash drives.

All proceeds benefit our life skills department

Mr. Couvion's period 3, grade 9 science class is reminded to take second lunch today.


The Junior girls basketball team opened their Wecssa season with a 52 - 23 win over Sandwich . The girls got out to a 18 - 0 lead and never looked back.  Anna Ulilcny with 20 pts and Claire Lamarre with 12 led the team in scoring.  Practice tonight right after school.

Last night the senior girls basketball team opened their regular season with a 61 - 38 win over Sandwich . The lady Saints jumped out to a 20 - 4 first quarter lead and cruised to victory from there.  Elena Caldarelli had 18 points and Hannah McClounie chipped in 12 to lead the Saints on the scoreboard.  Olivia Kireta was solid in play off the bench at both ends of the floor.  Practice tonight at 4:10 .

Attention Choir members our rehearsal is cancelled this because of the Terry Fox Day see you next Thursday Oct. 2nd. from 2:30 to 4:00.
New members are welcome especially Gr. 9's.

Attention all music students interested in being on the music executive please have your letter stating you want to join the executive by this Thursday.

Attention Concert band members there will be a rehearsal every Monday morning from 7 till 8am.  Grade nine students are welcome to join if you don't have an instrument we will supply you with one.  Please see Mr. Gagnon during your lunch if you would like to join.

Attention all Clarinet players, the band is in need of more clarinet players, please see Mr. Gagnon for more details.

ps.  There will be a Jazz band rehearsal, the instruments needed are all the saxes, all the trumpets all the trombones and the rhythm section.


12U Physics, could Mr Eckart's third period Physics class please take second lunch today, grade 12U Physics be in class at 11 today!!

Yesterday the Saints Cross Country team travelled to Mic Mac Park for their first meet... The Raider Open.
Each race division had appx 100 athletes competing for the top standings.
Standouts for the day included:

Meg Mooney with 9th place
Kennedy Dales in 24th for the midget girls race

In the Junior Girls race, Elisabeth Soldevila finished 12th and Emma Dennison 22nd

For Senior Girls, Jen Santin led the Saints with a 21st place finish and Tina DiCarlo in 24th.

Lastly - in the Senior Boys - Pat Matthew captured 20th place with an excellent time.

Way to go Saints!  See you after school at practice.
