Greetings Saints

Now that the votes are in, we can share with you the results from last Thursday's Student Vote Day and compare how we did to the Official Election Results

First of all – 70% or 871 Saints voted – So a big 'thank you' goes out to you

In first place the Saints voted for Liberal Audrey Festeryga, which is kind of cool as the new leader of our federal government is Liberal member Justin Trudeau

The local candidate who actually won and will represent our riding in the federal legislature is NDP Tracey Ramsey

In second place Saints voted for NDP Tracey Ramsey so we were very close on that call too

The official second place winner is local candidate Conservative Jeff Watson
And in third place we voted for Conservative Jeff Watson
while the official third place winner was Liberal Audrey Festeryga

The green party was our fourth choice – the same as the official vote and the Marxist Leninist party did not win a seat at all

Results have been charted and posted on yellow paper along the 'Federal Election' display in the atrium if you want to check it out this week

Thanks to all of you who voted and helped out with our campaign!!
