The St. Anne's golf team of Robert Mcvinnie, Spencer Higginbottom, Ryan Gagnier and Steven Hill had a very respectable showing yesterday at the Wecssa golf tournament.
The boys all shot in the mid 80's which is VERY respectable for such a young team. There is no doubt that we will be up there with the best next year. Congratulations on a fine effort gentlemen, you represented your school admirably.
The Junior Boys are off to a good start defeating Vista 3 sets to nothing last night. Although the boys got down, points-wise, in both the first and the second set, they clawed their way back to win both sets finishing off the third set easily. The rookie setter Jacob Ray stepped up with some solid setting while returning players Andrew Ogley, Christian Luciani and Louis Borrelli helped to lead the team to victory. John Favero was outstanding for his first game as libero. Way to go boys. Our next home game is next Tuesday. Come on out and cheer them on.
