MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26

Cafeteria Fuel:                 Today we have Chicken Fingers and Fries

Beginning this fall, a brand-new construction academy is available to all students entering grade 11.  If you enjoy learning in a variety of different ways and want to experience a practical and 'hands on' program, the Construction Academy is the right fit for you.
Students entering the program will start their apprenticeship while in high school through the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and gain real "on the job" experience.

If you are considering an apprenticeship or a career in the construction industry, we invite you to visit the guidance office for an application package and program information.

Visit the program website at WEConstructionAcademy.ca

Thank you to all of the students who performed at this semester's Cafe Musique.  Our Talent Show list is now up, on the bulletin board, next to the Music Room.  For any interested clases, our Talent Show will take place during 4th period, on May 11th and during 1st period, on May 12th.  Tickets are $2/ student, it must be a full class buyout and all monies go towards our next upcoming musical and/or Spring Arts Show.  Thanks everyone for supporting the arts!

All track athletes competing at WECSAA must sign up on the track bulletin board by Friday.

Track athletes participating in the meet today will be dismissed at 1:30.  Bus leaves at 1:45 pm.  All athletes must have their wecsaa form.  Please note that the meet will begin at 3 pm today.

Congrats to Max Baker-Young. Saints central defender and field general who exhibited great leadership helping the boys win the Niagara Cup.

In addition, Paige Brown, recorded 5 shut outs in the Niagara Cup tournament.  She is always positive, competitive and a great team player.

Attention Grade 12's!  Attention Grade 12's!
Today is your Valedictorian Election.  You may cast your vote on both lunches outside Guidance.

Just a reminder to staff and students who are involved with St. Soars Week or those who would like to help out. We have a meeting tomorrow after school. Please meet Ms. Facchinato in the attendance office.

Students, on Friday some of you received a letter, at your home, from the University of Waterloo regarding their CRAY's survey. This letter contains information for your parents regarding the survey and explains the process for reverse consent - meaning if you or your parents do not want you to take part in this anonymous survey there is information on how to do this. The survey will be administered on Friday, May 5th during period 2. Only classes that were selected will be involved.
