Yesterday your Junior Boys' Soccer Team traveled to Villanova for their first game. Some great play by Romano Liburdi up front resulted in the Saints taking a 1-0 lead. However, some costly errors and poor control of the ball and passing led Villanova to a 2-1 win. Great defensive play by Luke Grosso helped keep the Saints in the game. Practice after school today so that we can improve our game play before next week's tournament.
Attention Senior Boys Soccer Players,
Please see Mr. Geremia during your lunch to pick up your Tilbury Soccer Tournament permission Form.
Just a reminder to staff and students who are involved with St. Soars Week or those who would like to help out. We have a meeting today after school. Please meet Ms. Facchinato in the attendance office.
Slo-Pitch
Teachers please release the girls slo-pitch team at 11:30 today to drive to sunny McGregor for their first two games of the season.
Girls, get changed and head to the atrium to meet up with your rides. If you don't have your uniform yet, please see Mr. Couvion in room 210.
Drivers, if you don't have a full car, please wait for those that don't have a ride.
Students, on Friday some of you received a letter, at your home, from the University of Waterloo regarding their CRAY's survey. This letter contains information for your parents regarding the survey and explains the process for reverse consent - meaning if you or your parents do not want you to take part in this anonymous survey there is information on how to do this. The survey will be administered on Friday, May 5th during period 2. Only classes that were selected will be involved.
Beginning this fall, a brand-new construction academy is available to all students entering grade 11. If you enjoy learning in a variety of different ways and want to experience a practical and 'hands on' program, the Construction Academy is the right fit for you.
Students entering the program will start their apprenticeship while in high school through the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and gain real "on the job" experience.
If you are considering an apprenticeship or a career in the construction industry, we invite you to visit the guidance office for an application package and program information.
Visit the program website at WEConstructionAcademy.ca
