World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), 21 March, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The Canadian Down Syndrome Society encourages Canadians to celebrate people with Down syndrome in Canada and around the world for World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st.
On Wednesday - we will recognize this day with a Crazy Sock Day - this has become one of the symbols for the day is to "Rock your socks".
Accent your skorts, shorts, and pants (yes - you can roll up your pants or tuck them in socks) on Wednesday with colourful, mismatched, and crazy socks.
Wednesday after school there will be an important and mandatory fashion show meeting for all models & committee members. The meeting will take place in Madame Guadagno's classroom Room 174 immediately after school with Trinity Meyers. Thank you.

Attention all writers:
The University of Windsor English Department and St. Jerome’s College, at the University of Waterloo, are sponsoring several writing competitions with cash prizes for both fiction and poetry. Please see Mrs. Rozic in room 267 for more details.
This year there will be a running program for anyone interested in participating in a 5 k run this spring. This is a program for anyone who is looking to get active and have some fun! It is not a competitive program, so if you have ever thought you would like start running, now is the time. If you are a runner already, join us! We will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school starting next week. See Mr. Hamelin in room 270 before your lunch today for details and to sign up.
Any grade 9 and 10 students interested in trying out for the junior girls soccer team are asked to sign up outside the phys ed office. Please listen to announcements for try out dates.
Attention all junior girl volleyball players. If you haven't handed in your uniform you need to do so ASAP. If not in by Wednesday detentions will be issued.
All boys that signed up for the Junior Boys' Soccer tryouts, please change after school and meet in room 176. If you did not sign up and still wish to tryout, you are still welcome to come out. Boys in grade 9 and 10 trying out for the Junior Boys' Soccer team are asked to change after school and report to Mr. Richardson's room, that is room 176 after school today. Dress for the weather.
