Last Friday your Junior Boys Soccer team travelled to the Tecumseh Soccer Fields for the first of their 2 day tournament WECSSAA season. The boys started off with a 3-0 win over Brennan and then after a strong fought match against an undisciplined St. Joseph team, the boys walked away with a 1-0 win. THe last game of the day was against Massey and although the boys were tired and played a sloppy game, they were able to keep their undefeated record for the day wining 1-0. Our Saints are the only team to not let in a goal and this is thanks to a great defense play by Max Baker-Young, Dylan Ryan, Felix Torres, Matt Prsa and Mike Micelli with great goaltending by Greg Boston, Rob Prsa and Tyler Gadoury. Goals for the day were scored by AJ Ryan, Luke Gagnon, Vince Liburdi, Brandon Lachin and a special goal by Noah Greco. The Boys would like to thank Mr. Nehmetallah for coming out for half a game to take pictures and cheer us on to victory along with a special guest that showed up for support.
Great Job boys!!! Practice tonight after school as there is still work to be done before this Friday's games.
Good morning,
Tomorrow is Mission Wednesday.
There has been a great deal of suffering experienced by our brothers and sisters in Nepal due to the horrific earthquakes that have taken place there recently. We wish to send a donation from our St. Anne community to support the relief efforts for the victims of this horrible disaster in India. Please be generous and bring in a donation tomorrow, on Mission Wednesday for the victims of the earthquake in Nepal. If teachers could please write a reminder to students on your board, it will help us to remember their suffering. We have so much to be thankful for here in Canada...let's Reach Out to our brothers and sisters who need our help.
Let's be that "powerhouse" of love once again Saints! Remember Mission Wednesday!
