Once again the senior girls soccer team at St. Anne will represent SWOSSAA at the Ofsaa Tournament hosted in Niagara Falls. The team captured the Swossaa title by defeating Chatham Kent 3-0 in the championship game. Under very windy conditions, our lady saints were able to secure a significant lead in the first half with goals scored in the 2 nd minute, the 19th minute and just before the end of half in the 39th minute. The goals were scored by Hannah Drkulec, Emma Collins and then again by Hannah Drkulec which allowed the team to go into the second half, facing the wind, with a comfortable lead. Although the girls did not add to the goal total, they did have the bulk of the opportunities even against the wind. They will depart next week for competition which is to held June 1st to 4th.
